This woollen book was created in response to Exeter's Castle Street Library and Exeter's history in the woollen industry. Using traditional methods of felting to create the pages of the book and modern needle felting for the boat design.

The work aims to capture the movement in both the transportation of wool and the passing of time. The image of the ship is inspired by Exeter’s Ship Inn sign as this pub in Exeter is said to be where where Sir Francis Drake, famous world traveller, used to drink.
